The Buckingham Palace will be inking the day in history as it opens its doors to the public for the largest display of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s fashion. After revealing the details of the exhibition titled, Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style, which will open at The King’s Gallery, a glimpse of one of the precious items was unveiled.
The late Queen’s bespoke ensemble from her sister’s wedding was put on display and a elegant portrait of the late monarch was shared.
“The exhibition will be the largest display of Queen Elizabeth II’s fashion ever mounted, featuring approximately 200 items – around half on display for the first time – and charting the late Queen’s clothing worn in all ten decades of her life,” the statement was released by Royal Collection Trust.
“This includes clothing worn for milestone family moments such as this crinoline-skirted blue gown and matching bolero jacket worn for her sister Princess Margaret’s wedding in 1960: the last time a full-length dress was worn for a royal wedding in England.”
The exhibition will be opening from April 10, 2026, and run until October 18, 2026. |
