The number 72 holds a special significance in Indian mythology and culture.

In the epic Mahabharata, it is mentioned that Lord Krishna had 72 principal disciples, who were called the 72 Chiranjivi.

These disciples were chosen for their wisdom, strength, and dedication to Lord Krishna.

One of the most famous tales involving the number 72 is the story of the Chiranjivi.

The Chiranjivi were blessed with immortality, but they were not allowed to use their powers for harm.

However, one of them, Nalakar, was tempted by the demon King Shoorpanakha to use his powers for evil.

Despite the warnings of Lord Krishna, Nalakar succumbed to the temptation and was cursed to die when he reached the age of 72.

This story highlights the importance of self-control and the consequences of succumbing to temptation.
